Vacancies on our Campsites

Our Site Staff are crucial in ensuring that all campers have the best experience when staying on one of our campsites.

If you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and are looking for a career that fits in with your love of the great outdoors, then becoming a Site Assistant could be the perfect role for you.

Career Progression

The majority of our Site Managers started their careers with The Club as Site Assistants and have progressed to successfully manage one of our sites.

From day-one we invest in our employees by taking them through a structured training programme. Site Assistants are trained to perform all the core elements of working on a site, with ongoing training support and a career path to progress onto the Site Manager Development Programme.

There are also opportunities to take on additional roles and responsibilities that include having designated Mental Health First Aiders, and Training Champions who provide extra support when new systems are rolled out.

Campsite Locations

We have over 80 campsites for seasonal work, but you must be willing to work anywhere in the UK as we cannot guarantee your preference. Take a look at where our campsites are located.

Our Campsite Recruitment Process

We are committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process. To support our commitment, when submitting your CV, please remove your name and only provide your initials on your CV. When you complete our application form, this is where you will provide your personal details, and these will not be shared with the hiring managers until after the selection process has been completed. Remember to remove your address and other data that can identify you e.g. a photo, date of birth or your LinkedIn profile from your CV. Ensure your CV has your skills and abilities, work experience and career history, together with qualifications and training noted. Try to keep your CV two pages long.

To complete our short application form, you will need your own email address, your personal details as we collect equal opportunities and diversity information. We embrace positive attitudes, behaviours and cultures towards disability. Any applicant who has a disability and meets the essential criteria of the person specification from the job description, will be guaranteed an interview or an assessment.

If you are applying for a Site Assistant role and your partner or companion is also applying for the role, please ensure you add their details on your application form (including their own email address).

Once you have completed your application form and uploaded your CV, you will receive an email of from our recruitment portal confirming receipt of your application and outlining the next steps. Please ensure you check your junk email box. If your application is of interest, you will be emailed a link requesting that you complete and submit a short ‘video screening’.

You will receive a link to access the video screening. Video screening gives us the opportunity to get to know you a little better. You can do the video screening through a smart phone or laptop that has a camera.

You will be asked 3 questions and there will be time in between each question before the recording starts; each question needs to be answered in 1 minute.

To prepare for your video screening, write down your answers and practice answering them. When you are ready, you can start recording. You will have three attempts to record your answers. Ensure you position your phone/laptop/camera well so that we can see you.

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to an Assessment Day. You will be able to self-book on to one of our Assessment Days. They will be held at our campsites, either in the Lake District or in Worcestershire. You will need to make yourself available for a whole day.

The Assessment Day will involve some activities at one of our camp sites so that you get a good understanding of the role. There will be some enjoyable physical activities, including being outdoors whatever the weather, team building and customer service activities, and IT tasks. There will also be an opportunity to talk to our staff who work on the campsite and to have a short interview.

If you require any reasonable adjustments, ensure they are noted on your application form or let us know when you receive your invite.

There are two stages on the day, if you are successful in the first stage, in the morning, you will be asked to stay for the remainder of the day to complete stage two of the assessment. The format of the assessment will be confirmed to you when you arrive on the day. The Assessment Day will also be an opportunity to meet other candidates that you may end up working with.

If you have been through the two stages on the Assessment Day, we will confirm to you if you have been successful within 2 working days. You will then be lined up for a contract on one of our campsites for the upcoming season.

If you are unsuccessful, you can request feedback and one of the interviewers will contact you to go through the feedback.

If you cannot take up a seasonal contract for the upcoming season or if we have too many successful candidates, then you will be placed in our talent pool for when the next vacancy becomes available.

If you do not accept a placement offer to one of our campsites after 12 months being placed in the talent pool, your application will be removed, and you will have to reapply if you are still interested working for the Club.

We will send your offer of appointment and employment contract terms and conditions electronically. You will also be expected to go through a Right to Work check, which can be completed digitally.

Finally, you will receive a link to our onboarding portal where there is key information for you before you start, and your line manager will call you to welcome you to The Club.

Working at The Club: Tom - Site Manager

Tom shares his experience working for The Club.

My biggest achievement would be becoming the manager I am today, from working as a Site Assistant and completing the Manager Development Programme at the age of 21, and now managing a Club site. I’m working with a great team, and I have grown in confidence through doing the job.

Working for The Club offers great opportunities if you want to travel the UK; meet interesting people and enjoy being outdoors in the fresh air, come rain or shine, then this is the job for you.

"The best part of working as a team is the building of new relationships and growing as a collective through each season. With the goal of delivering the best possible service to our customers."
